Poetry Tuesday: Lines for a box of Dark Chocolate Cream-Nut Clusters
Chocolate is wrapped in a melting fist,
Peanut butter lies thickly inside.
And chocolate breaks like a delicate shell;
And peanut butter tries to find the light.
But chocolate is heavy, heavy around the crunch
Of peanuts too shy to taste more than their sound.
Note: I thought these were quite good but that they should be a little less chocolatey. Dan felt they had the perfect ratio of creaminess to crunchiness. We could both be right. Thanks, Angela!
